Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Nursing (DON) / RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations within skilled nursing and long-term care settings. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and effective clinical operations while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, supervise, and support nursing staff across skilled nursing and long-term care units
• Oversee clinical operations to ensure safe, effective, and compliant patient care
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and care standards
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and workflow optimization
• Provide clinical oversight, mentoring, and performance evaluations for nursing staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership to support quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement corrective action plans as needed
• Participate in staff education, training, and competency development
• Support survey readiness, audits, and quality assurance programs
• Address patient care concerns and escalate issues appropriately
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Nursing degree required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s; BSN preferred)
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in skilled nursing or long-term care required
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing standards
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care
