Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Facilities to oversee the organization’s facility operations, maintenance, safety, and infrastructure. This leader will ensure facilities are safe, functional, compliant, and well-maintained while managing facility staff, vendors, budgets, and improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct daily facilities, maintenance, engineering, and building operations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, utilities, and systems.
- Ensure facilities meet applicable safety, regulatory, environmental, and organizational standards.
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, security, and other facility systems.
- Manage facility maintenance staff, contractors, and service vendors.
- Develop and manage facilities budgets, operating expenses, and capital improvement plans.
- Monitor vendor contracts, service agreements, and maintenance performance.
- Coordinate construction, renovation, repair, and facility improvement projects.
- Conduct facility inspections and address safety, maintenance, and operational issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness, disaster response, and business continuity plans.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, finance, safety, and leadership teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency, sustainability, and cost management.
- Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of progressive facilities, maintenance, engineering, or operations management experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, safety, and facility operations.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, contractors, and capital projects.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with facility management and Microsoft Office systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare or hospital facilities management experience preferred.
- Experience with regulatory and accreditation requirements in healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of Life Safety Code, OSHA, fire safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental standards.
- Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
- Facilities management or engineering certification preferred.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment.
Pay Rate
$100,000.00 - $140,000.00/year
