Dietitian – Job Description
Job Title: Dietitian
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Evaluate medical history, dietary habits, and nutritional status.
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Develop appropriate meal plans based on medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and patient goals.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as part of the care team.
- Document nutritional assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately.
- Stay current with nutrition guidelines, evidence-based practices, and healthcare standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and dietary management.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Pay Rate
$55.13 - $60.01/hour
