Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to assess patients' nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition plans. The Dietitian will provide nutrition counseling, monitor patient progress, collaborate with the healthcare team, and promote healthy eating and improved clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments based on medical history, dietary needs, and clinical conditions.
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans and dietary recommendations.
- Monitor patients' nutritional status and response to interventions.
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and caregivers.
- Recommend appropriate therapeutic diets based on medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, food service staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor calorie, protein, fluid, and nutrient requirements as appropriate.
- Provide guidance for patients with diabetes, renal disease, cardiac conditions, malnutrition, and other nutritional concerns.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient rounds as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely nutrition assessments and documentation in the EMR.
- Support quality improvement and nutrition-related initiatives.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential preferred/required based on position requirements.
- Active state licensure where required.
- Current BLS certification preferred/required based on assignment requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical dietetics experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and nutritional assessment.
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, organization, and patient-education skills.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous hospital, outpatient, long-term care, rehabilitation, or community nutrition experience.
- Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition preferred.
- Knowledge of diabetes, renal, cardiac, oncology, and critical-care nutrition.
- Experience with malnutrition assessment and nutrition support.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered nutritional care.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
