Diagnostic Tech – Outpatient Imaging (EOC)
Position Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in an outpatient setting to support accurate diagnosis and quality patient care. Operate imaging equipment safely, obtain high-quality images, and ensure patient comfort throughout examinations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations.
- Operate and monitor imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- Obtain high-quality images and ensure proper positioning and technique.
- Explain procedures and provide appropriate patient care throughout examinations.
- Administer contrast media as authorized and monitor patients for reactions.
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles, as applicable.
- Maintain accurate and timely imaging documentation.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Follow infection-control, patient safety, and imaging standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Imaging program.
- Appropriate certification such as ARRT or equivalent, as applicable.
- Current state license or registration, if required.
- Previous outpatient imaging experience preferred.
- Strong technical, communication, patient-care, and attention-to-detail skills.
Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
