Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring a wide range of medical conditions. The Sonographer will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure patient comfort, and produce accurate diagnostic images while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Prepare and position patients while explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Evaluate image quality and recognize abnormal findings for physician review
- Document examination findings accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS system
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection prevention and quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and treatment
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and imaging supplies in accordance with department policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent credential required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Pay Rate
$72.66 - $77.54/hour
