Job Title: CVOR Technologist
Position Summary
We are seeking a CVOR Technologist to support surgical teams during cardiovascular and cardiothoracic procedures. The technologist will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, provide surgical instruments and supplies, and assist with safe patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the CVOR, instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgery.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during cardiovascular procedures.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
- Prepare and handle specialized cardiac surgical equipment.
- Perform accurate surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies.
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical site preparation.
- Handle and label specimens according to procedure requirements.
- Clean and prepare the operating room after procedures.
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current CST certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Previous CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
