Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused CT/X-Ray Technologist to perform both Computed Tomography (CT) and diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures. The technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures.
- Operate CT scanners and digital radiography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS.
- Perform routine equipment quality control and report equipment issues promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines, infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Active ARRT (R) certification required.
- ARRT (CT) certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Active state radiologic technologist license if required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT and diagnostic radiology experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging, diagnostic radiography, radiation safety, anatomy, and imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with PACS and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$79.52 - $84.40/hour
