Position Summary

We are seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray and computed tomography equipment. The Technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety and comfort, operate imaging equipment effectively, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT examinations according to established protocols.
  • Operate CT and radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Review patient history and examination orders before procedures.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques based on patient condition and examination requirements.
  • Administer contrast media when authorized and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Verify image quality and repeat images when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate examination records and documentation.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns.
  • Follow radiation safety and dose-reduction practices.
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout examinations.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, safety, and departmental policies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized imaging environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or equivalent education in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current, active, and unrestricted radiologic technologist license in the applicable state, when required.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and/or CT, as applicable to the assignment.
  • Knowledge of CT and X-ray imaging procedures and radiation safety.
  • Strong patient-care and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate imaging equipment effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain image quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous CT and radiography experience.
  • Experience with trauma and emergency imaging.
  • Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • BLS certification preferred/required based on assignment requirements.
  • Additional CT certification or specialty credentials preferred.

Pay Rate
$72,841.00 - $106,787.00/year
