Position Summary
We are seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray and computed tomography equipment. The Technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety and comfort, operate imaging equipment effectively, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT examinations according to established protocols.
- Operate CT and radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review patient history and examination orders before procedures.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques based on patient condition and examination requirements.
- Administer contrast media when authorized and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Verify image quality and repeat images when necessary.
- Maintain accurate examination records and documentation.
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns.
- Follow radiation safety and dose-reduction practices.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout examinations.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment issues promptly.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, safety, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and organized imaging environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent education in Radiologic Technology.
- Current, active, and unrestricted radiologic technologist license in the applicable state, when required.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and/or CT, as applicable to the assignment.
- Knowledge of CT and X-ray imaging procedures and radiation safety.
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
- Ability to operate imaging equipment effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain image quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous CT and radiography experience.
- Experience with trauma and emergency imaging.
- Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical records (EMR).
- BLS certification preferred/required based on assignment requirements.
- Additional CT certification or specialty credentials preferred.
Pay Rate
$72,841.00 - $106,787.00/year
