Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT/Radiologic Technologist (CT/RAD Tech) to perform computed tomography (CT) scans and diagnostic radiographic examinations. The technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and general diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and imaging protocols
- Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate CT and radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media as appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient records in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), PACS, and RIS
- Follow radiation safety practices and adhere to ALARA principles
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly
- Maintain a clean and safe imaging environment while following infection prevention protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- ARRT (CT) certification preferred or CT registry eligible, depending on facility requirements
- Active state Radiologic Technologist license where required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT and Radiology experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging, diagnostic radiography, anatomy, radiation safety, and contrast administration
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
