CT/MRI Technologist
We are seeking a skilled CT/MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. The technologist will ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and adherence to established imaging protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Operate CT and MRI equipment effectively and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Position patients accurately and select appropriate imaging protocols based on examination requirements.
- Screen patients for MRI safety risks, including implants, medical devices, and other contraindications.
- Administer contrast agents as permitted and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Follow radiation safety procedures for CT examinations and MRI safety protocols at all times.
- Review images for quality and completeness and repeat scans when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination information.
- Follow infection control, safety, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current certification/licensure as required for CT and MRI imaging.
- ARRT certification in Radiography or relevant imaging specialty preferred.
- CT and/or MRI certification preferred or required based on position requirements.
- Previous experience performing CT and MRI examinations preferred.
- Knowledge of imaging protocols, contrast procedures, patient safety, and MRI safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Pay Rate
$87,734.00 - $131,601.00/year
