CT Technologist
Perform computed tomography (CT) examinations to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patient evaluation and treatment. The CT Technologist will operate CT equipment, ensure patient safety, administer contrast when required, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Position patients correctly and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate and monitor CT equipment safely and efficiently.
- Screen patients for contraindications and relevant medical history before examinations.
- Administer contrast media as permitted and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate care and reassurance.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program.
- Current ARRT certification with CT certification or eligibility as required.
- State licensure as required for the position.
- Previous CT experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and radiation safety.
- Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
