Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. The CT Technologist will ensure patient safety, produce diagnostic-quality images, administer contrast media when appropriate, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
- Administer IV contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Review CT images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission for interpretation.
- Operate and maintain CT scanners and related imaging equipment.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain compliance with ALARA principles.
- Perform routine quality control checks and report equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), RIS, and PACS.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Active Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice, where required.
- Current ARRT (R) certification required.
- Current ARRT (CT) certification required or CT registry eligible based on facility requirements.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT imaging experience preferred.
- Experience administering IV contrast media and performing contrast-enhanced CT studies.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging, cross-sectional anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
Pay Rate
$62.48 - $67.36/hour
