Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) to perform high-quality CT imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. The CT Technologist will ensure patient safety and comfort while producing accurate diagnostic images and maintaining compliance with radiation safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Review images for quality and repeat scans when necessary
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), PACS, and Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Follow ALARA principles and radiation safety guidelines
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance issues as needed
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- ARRT (CT) certification preferred or required based on assignment
- Active state radiologic technologist license where required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, cross-sectional anatomy, contrast administration, and radiation safety
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Experience in hospital, trauma, emergency, outpatient, or diagnostic imaging settings
- Previous travel or contract imaging experience preferred
- IV contrast administration experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as required
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail
Pay Rate
$83.58 - $88.46/hour
