CT Technologist (CT Tech)
Position Summary
Perform computed tomography (CT) examinations to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
- Prepare, position, and safely transfer patients for imaging.
- Review patient history, allergies, and contraindications before procedures.
- Administer contrast media as required and monitor patients for reactions.
- Operate and perform basic quality checks on CT equipment.
- Ensure proper image quality and repeat studies when necessary.
- Follow radiation safety, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation.
- Communicate significant findings or patient changes to the appropriate healthcare team.
- Assist with emergency imaging procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography; CT certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Current state license or registration as required.
- Previous CT imaging experience preferred.
- BLS certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$78.76 - $83.64/hour
