Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform diagnostic computed tomography examinations and produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. The technologist will safely operate CT equipment, position patients, administer contrast when appropriate, and maintain radiation and patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Verify patient identity, clinical history, allergies, and examination requirements.
- Screen patients for contraindications and prepare them for CT procedures.
- Position patients accurately and operate CT equipment safely and efficiently.
- Select appropriate scanning parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast media according to applicable protocols and scope of practice.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to adverse reactions.
- Evaluate images for positioning, quality, and diagnostic value.
- Perform image reconstruction and post-processing as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS.
- Follow radiation safety, ALARA, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient safety standards.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography required.
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required/preferred based on position requirements.
- Active state Radiologic Technologist license where applicable.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols, anatomy, positioning, radiation safety, and contrast administration.
- Excellent communication, technical, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification.
- Experience with emergency, trauma, stroke, cardiac, inpatient, and outpatient CT imaging.
- Experience with contrast-enhanced CT and CT angiography.
- Knowledge of advanced CT protocols and image post-processing.
- Strong attention to image quality and radiation safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Pay Rate
$79.52 - $84.40/hour
