Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist (CT Tech) to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures. The CT Tech will ensure patient safety and comfort while producing accurate diagnostic images, administering contrast media when appropriate, and collaborating with radiologists and the healthcare team to support quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Review images for quality and repeat scans when necessary
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Follow radiation safety practices and ensure compliance with ALARA principles
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance issues as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- ARRT (CT) certification preferred or required based on assignment
- Active state radiologic technologist license where required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT imaging experience preferred
- Knowledge of CT imaging protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, contrast administration, and radiation safety
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Pay Rate
$79.52 - $84.40/hour
