Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist / X-Ray Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) and diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures. The technologist will ensure patient safety and comfort, produce accurate diagnostic images, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols
- Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures
- Operate CT scanners and digital radiography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media as appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Evaluate image quality and perform additional imaging when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), PACS, and Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and quality control of imaging equipment
- Follow radiation safety principles (ALARA), infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- ARRT (CT) certification required or obtained within facility guidelines
- Active state radiologic technologist license where required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT and/or diagnostic radiology experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging, diagnostic radiography, anatomy, and radiation safety
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing trauma, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging
- Intravenous (IV) contrast administration experience preferred
- Previous travel or contract imaging experience preferred
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as required
Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
