CT Technologist
Perform computed tomography (CT) examinations to support accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. The CT Technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Position patients correctly and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate and monitor CT equipment safely and efficiently.
- Review patient history and screen for contraindications before examinations.
- Administer contrast media as required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Explain procedures and provide appropriate patient care and reassurance.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and/or CT as applicable.
- CT certification preferred or required based on position requirements.
- State licensure as required.
- Previous CT experience preferred.
- Strong technical, patient-care, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment.
Pay Rate
$70.33 - $75.20/hour
