Job Description: Credentialing Specialist

Role Overview

The Credentialing Specialist manages the comprehensive lifecycle of provider credentialing. This includes facilitating initial appointments, reappointments, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other designated providers. The role ensures total alignment with corporate policies, hospital bylaws, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Credentialing Management: Lead all aspects of the credentialing process, including initial applications, reappointments, and clinical privileging.
Data Integrity: Utilize MDStaff software to perform, monitor, and track all credentialing workflows while ensuring the highest level of data accuracy.
Compliance & Auditing: Perform regular credential audits and maintain a deep working knowledge of statutes, laws, and the requirements of accrediting/regulatory agencies.
Regulatory Interpretation: Interpret and apply complex hospital bylaws and corporate procedures to ensure the organization remains in constant survey-readiness.

Requirements & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with MDStaff or similar credentialing software applications.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the statutes and laws governing medical staffing and healthcare credentialing.
Attention to Detail: Proven ability to maintain meticulous records and ensure data integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Location: This is a 100% on-site position.
Remote Work: This role does not offer remote or hybrid flexibility; all duties are performed at the facility.

Pay Rate
$27.74 - $32.62/hour
