Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU/CCU. The RN will monitor complex cardiac conditions, manage advanced therapies, and collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill cardiovascular patients.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, vital signs, laboratory results, and neurological status.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and titratable vasoactive medications.
  • Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory support.
  • Care for patients with acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures.
  • Monitor and manage invasive lines, drains, and other critical care devices.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and cardiovascular emergencies.
  • Participate in code blue, rapid response, and emergency interventions.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, surgeons, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and critical care protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent CVICU, CCU, ICU, or critical care experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic management, ventilator care, and critical care medications.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$74.19 - $79.07/hour
