Job Description:
Responsible for screening, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for patients in inpatient, Long Term Care, Alzheimer’s, Home Health, and outpatient settings. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for managing patient caseloads in all clinical settings from screenings and evaluations through discharges.
Compliant with State and Federal Regulations.
Active participant in Interdisciplinary Team approach to patient care.
Provides the necessary billing documentation for billing purposes.
Communicate effectively with physician, other members of rehabilitation team and others as indicated regarding treatment plan and patient response to plan.
Counsels patient and family according to degree of disability or impairment.
Completes all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed. Requires regular attendance and punctuality. Performs other duties as assigned.
