Position Title
Clinical Lab Technologist
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Clinical Lab Technologist to perform a wide range of laboratory procedures that support patient diagnosis, treatment, and care, with a specialized focus in Blood Bank operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on clinical laboratory experience, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to maintaining quality and compliance standards in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards
- Conduct Blood Bank testing including blood typing, crossmatching, antibody screening, and compatibility testing
- Analyze and interpret laboratory results accurately and efficiently
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Prepare and process patient specimens for testing
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance procedures are consistently followed
- Document test results and maintain accurate laboratory records
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding laboratory findings
- Assist in maintaining laboratory inventory and supplies
- Participate in proficiency testing and ongoing laboratory improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
- Valid Clinical Laboratory Technologist license/certification as required by state regulations
- Minimum of one (1) year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience in Blood Bank
- Strong knowledge of Blood Bank procedures, laboratory methodologies, equipment, and quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced clinical environment

Pay Rate
$66.72 - $71.60/hour
