Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Perform laboratory testing to support the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions. The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will analyze specimens, operate laboratory equipment, maintain quality standards, and accurately report test results.
Responsibilities
- Collect, receive, process, and prepare patient specimens for testing.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests according to established procedures.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Review and verify test results for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot testing issues.
- Identify and report abnormal or critical results according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Follow infection control, safety, and laboratory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding laboratory results and specimen requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Current state license or certification as required.
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Pay Rate
$71.69 - $76.57/hour
