Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiology to provide high-quality nursing care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient clinic setting. The RN will assist with patient assessments, cardiac procedures, patient education, and care coordination while collaborating with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and cardiac symptom evaluation.
  • Assist cardiologists with outpatient examinations, diagnostic testing, and minor procedures.
  • Administer medications, injections, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac procedures and diagnostic testing.
  • Perform and interpret basic cardiac assessments, including ECG/EKG acquisition.
  • Educate patients on cardiovascular disease management, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care.
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, appointments, and continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, diagnostic staff, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and clinic policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent cardiology, telemetry, cardiac step-down, clinic, or acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease processes, cardiac medications, ECG/EKG monitoring, and patient education.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$59.71 - $64.58/hour
