Charge Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary

Provide skilled nursing care while overseeing daily unit operations and supporting the nursing team. Coordinate patient care, staff assignments, and clinical activities to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily nursing activities, assignments, and patient care.
• Provide direct nursing care and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes or emergencies.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Assist with staff scheduling, workflow, and resource coordination.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support staff education, orientation, and competency development.
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and active RN license in the applicable state.
• Previous acute care or clinical nursing experience required.
• Previous charge nurse, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or as applicable.
• Strong leadership, clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay Rate
$54.37 - $59.25/hour
