Job Summary

The Certified Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
Measure, package, label, and compound medications according to prescription orders
Maintain patient records, medication inventories, and pharmacy logs
Assist pharmacists with medication reconciliation and order verification
Provide excellent customer service and answer patient or provider questions within scope
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications and supplies
Assist in sterile and non-sterile compounding as required
Participate in quality assurance and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited program
Current registration or license as required by state law
Basic computer and pharmacy software proficiency

Preferred:

Previous pharmacy experience (retail, hospital, or clinical)
Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices

Pay Rate
$37.60 - $42.48/hour
