Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support occupational therapy services for patients across clinical care settings. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients improve functional abilities, promote independence, and enhance quality of life through therapeutic interventions and activities.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ daily living skills, mobility, and functional performance
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, exercises, and adaptive strategies
• Monitor patient progress and report responses to treatment to the supervising therapist
• Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and patient outcomes accurately and timely
• Assist with the selection, use, and maintenance of adaptive equipment and therapeutic tools
• Support patient safety and adhere to infection control and therapy protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active and unrestricted Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or certification
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, home health, or skilled nursing settings preferred
• Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and functional treatment techniques
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under supervision in a patient-centered care environment
• Commitment to ethical practice and high-quality rehabilitative care
Pay Rate
$27.00 - $33.00/hour
