Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Position Summary
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will assist patients with therapeutic activities that improve functional skills, independence, and participation in daily activities.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy treatments according to the established care plan.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
Support patients in developing skills for activities of daily living.
Use adaptive techniques and equipment to improve patient independence.
Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and home activities.
Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
Document treatments, patient progress, and responses accurately.
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals.
Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional practice standards.
Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current COTA license or certification in the applicable state.
NBCOT certification as applicable.
Previous clinical or healthcare experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work effectively under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
Pay Rate
$45.08 - $49.96/hour
