Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will assist patients with therapeutic activities designed to improve daily living skills, mobility, independence, and overall functional ability.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy interventions according to the treatment plan.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Help improve daily living, motor, and functional skills.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow safety, infection control, and patient care standards.
- Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current COTA certification and state licensure.
- Experience in occupational therapy or a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Pay Rate
$37.48 - $42.36/hour
