Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will help patients improve functional abilities, independence, and quality of life through therapeutic activities and interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy treatments according to the established care plan.
- Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and daily living skills.
- Help patients improve independence with functional activities.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
- Assist with adaptive equipment and functional strategies as directed.
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide compassionate, patient-focused care.
Qualifications:
- Current COTA certification and state license as required.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation techniques, and patient care.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Pay Rate
$41.28 - $46.16/hour
