Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality rehabilitative care by assisting patients in improving their functional abilities and independence under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' daily living, mobility, and functional skills.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient care.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license/certification as required by state regulations.
- Current NBCOT COTA certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, rehabilitation practices, and patient care.
- Previous rehabilitation, inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$45.08 - $49.96/hour
