Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist/RCIS to assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The technologist will prepare equipment and patients, assist physicians during procedures, operate specialized cardiac imaging equipment, and maintain strict standards for patient safety and sterile technique.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory, equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, PCI, and other invasive procedures.
- Operate fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, and other specialized cardiovascular equipment as appropriate.
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and hemodynamic status.
- Assist with administration of contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
- Prepare and maintain guidewires, catheters, balloons, stents, and other interventional devices.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the clinical team.
- Assist with emergency procedures and cardiovascular resuscitation as required.
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and hemodynamic records.
- Perform equipment checks and report malfunctions or supply issues.
- Assist with room turnover and maintain a clean, safe procedural environment.
- Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, radiologic technologists, RCIS staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or related program.
- RCIS certification preferred/required based on assignment requirements.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required/preferred based on assignment requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab or cardiovascular invasive procedure experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, invasive procedures, and sterile technique.
- Excellent technical, communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity procedural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
- Experience with cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and waveform interpretation.
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and other cardiovascular support equipment preferred.
- Previous experience with emergency and STEMI procedures.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and cardiovascular equipment.
- Ability to participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as required.

Pay Rate
$86.38 - $91.26/hour
