Cath Lab Technologist
Position Summary
Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Prepare equipment, support physicians and nursing staff, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Cath Lab, equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
- Assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Operate and monitor specialized imaging and cardiac equipment.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control standards.
- Assist with patient monitoring and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Handle and prepare contrast media and other procedural supplies as directed.
- Maintain accurate procedure and patient documentation.
- Perform equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related program.
- Appropriate certification such as ARRT, RCIS, or equivalent, as applicable.
- Previous Cath Lab or cardiovascular procedural experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, cardiac procedures, and radiation safety.
- Strong technical, communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$75.93 - $80.81/hour
