Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) / Float Pool to provide high-quality nursing care for patients with cardiac and medical conditions requiring progressive care. This role includes floating to designated units based on patient care needs while delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
  • Provide care for cardiac and progressive care patients requiring continuous monitoring
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, cardiac drips, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and cardiac emergencies
  • Float to assigned inpatient units as needed while maintaining quality patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care, Telemetry, Cardiac Step-Down, PCU, or CPCU nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, medication administration, and progressive care nursing
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively across multiple inpatient units

Pay Rate
$61.23 - $66.11/hour
