Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab / Angiography Technologist to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The technologist will prepare procedure rooms, operate specialized imaging equipment, monitor patients, maintain a sterile environment, and support the delivery of safe, high-quality cardiovascular care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory and angiography suite for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiology procedures, and other vascular interventions.
- Operate fluoroscopy, digital angiography, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with sterile field setup.
- Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic data during procedures.
- Administer and monitor contrast media as directed and observe patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform equipment quality checks and report malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), PACS, and hemodynamic recording systems.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program.
- Active state licensure where required.
- Current ARRT (R), RCIS, RCES, or equivalent cardiovascular certification required based on facility requirements.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required or preferred based on facility requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab, Angiography, or Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, angiographic procedures, sterile technique, radiation safety, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Experience with PACS, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$87.91 - $92.78/hour
