Cardiac Cath Lab Scrub Technologist
Support cardiologists and the cardiac catheterization team during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The Cath Lab Scrub Technologist will prepare instruments and supplies, maintain the sterile field, assist with procedures, and ensure a safe and efficient procedural environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Cath Lab, sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
- Set up and maintain the sterile field throughout cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Pass catheters, guidewires, instruments, and other supplies to the physician.
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Perform accurate counts of instruments, needles, and supplies.
- Prepare and handle procedural specimens and supplies as required.
- Assist with patient positioning and procedural preparation.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control standards.
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Clean and prepare the procedure room and equipment after each case.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, radiology staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related program.
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab or cardiovascular procedural experience preferred.
- CST, RCIS, or equivalent certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, cardiac anatomy, and catheterization procedures.
- Strong technical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
