ICU Nurse – Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
Position Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions. Assess patient conditions, manage complex treatments, and respond quickly to changes in clinical status.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor critically ill patients.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and hemodynamic status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
- Manage ventilators, invasive lines, drains, and other critical-care equipment.
- Recognize and respond promptly to patient deterioration and emergencies.
- Assist with procedures, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families regarding care and treatment when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety and infection-control standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous ICU or critical-care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and emergency-response skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
