Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Diabetes Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care and education for patients with diabetes and related endocrine conditions. The RN will collaborate with physicians, diabetes educators, dietitians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote effective disease management, improve patient outcomes, and support healthy lifestyle changes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized diabetes care plans.
  • Provide patient education on diabetes self-management, blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, medication management, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Administer medications, injections, and other prescribed treatments as appropriate.
  • Assist providers with outpatient procedures, patient evaluations, and follow-up visits.
  • Coordinate referrals, laboratory testing, and ongoing patient care.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the prevention and management of diabetes-related complications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with endocrinologists, primary care providers, dietitians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and clinic policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in diabetes management, endocrinology, primary care, or outpatient clinic settings.
  • Strong knowledge of diabetes management, insulin therapy, glucose monitoring, nutrition, and chronic disease education.
  • Excellent communication, patient education, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
