CT Technologist
Position Summary
Perform computed tomography (CT) examinations to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Operate CT equipment safely, obtain high-quality images, and provide compassionate care while following imaging protocols and radiation safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to established protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients before procedures.
- Operate CT equipment safely and effectively.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images using proper positioning and techniques.
- Administer contrast media as authorized and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Review images for quality and repeat scans when necessary.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely imaging documentation.
- Follow infection-control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography required; CT certification preferred or required as applicable.
- Current state radiologic technologist license, if required.
- Previous CT imaging experience preferred.
- Strong technical, communication, patient-care, and attention-to-detail skills.
Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
