Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Medical-Surgical to provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients with acute medical and post-surgical conditions. The RN will assess patient needs, administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
- Provide direct nursing care for adult medical and post-surgical patients
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and responses to treatment
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and recovery plans
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment
- Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of acute care nursing, medication administration, patient assessment, and post-operative care
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
