Adult Psychiatric RN
Position Summary
We are seeking an Adult Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients with mental health and behavioral health needs. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, monitor behavior and clinical status, and support individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, mental, and behavioral health needs.
- Monitor patient behavior, mood, symptoms, and changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Implement and monitor individualized nursing care plans.
- Support patients during psychiatric crises and behavioral emergencies.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Provide patient education and emotional support.
- Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and psychiatric nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Previous psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, crisis-management, and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a behavioral health setting.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
