Med-Surg Registered Nurse
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The Med-Surg RN will assess patient needs, administer treatments and medications, monitor changes in condition, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, treatments, and other therapies as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition.
- Recognize and promptly report changes or signs of patient deterioration.
- Perform wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures.
- Assist patients with mobility, activities of daily living, and recovery.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient status.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous Medical-Surgical or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and patient care.
- Excellent assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused approach.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
